Highway Access

Sarnia is a border community accessible by air, water, road, and rail. The Blue Water Bridge border crossing links Sarnia to Michigan and the I-69 to Ontario’s 400 series highways.

Sarnia is easily accessible by road as it is located just off Highway 402, one hour north of Detroit, 1 hour west of London, and 3 hours west of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

 

Air Transportation

Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport is a full-service, customer-friendly airport that supports commercial, corporate and general aviation. Navigating the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport terminal is stress-free and simple with ample parking, curb side drop-off/pick-up, and check-in only steps away from the main entrance.

Passenger Rail

VIA Rail passenger trains arrive and depart daily in Sarnia with service to London and Toronto with connections to other routes within the Windsor to Quebec corridor.

 

Bus Service

FlixBus operates in partnership with Greyhound, offering bus service connecting 2,300 designations across North America, including Sarnia's Bayside Terminal. Tickets can be purchased through FlixBus.com or Greyhound,com.

Inter-Community Bus Service is offered by Voyago offering bus service with 8 stops between Sarnia and London, Ontario. Stops include the London International Airport, downtown London, the Komoka Wellness and Recreation Centre, the Kenwick Mall in Strathroy, Lambton Mall in Sarnia, and the VIA Rail train station in Sarnia.  

InterCity Bus is a privately owned bus service connecting Sarnia with London, Toronto and other cities in Southwestern Ontario.
